Back in the day, for recording screens directly, I used a program called iShowU. It was great for recording screens, tutorials, etc. I'm sure there are a hundred other apps like that if you just look for "Video Screen Capture" or something like that. But I really liked iShowU. Hello. I'm currently using apiflash to grab pictures from several sites and I love its simplicity (a REST-API you can invoke from curl and build your request on their site).
