  You can update your login information (same as spectrum.net info), don't use WPS, and if you notice anything immediately suspicious, it's best to cut everything off until you can figure things out, which usually a simple factory reset would resolve granted nothing has been really screwed up.   Just keep in mind there are so many ways people's email can be compromised. From social hacks to technical. Take what I'm saying as something to add to your collective knowledge but not as fact.
