I've enjoyed the deep dives into a topic that Increment(https://increment.com/) and ACM Queue (https://queue.acm.org/) excel at. They essentially pick a broad topic and dig fairly deep. As an example, say you are a backend engineer and need to begin frontend. I'd pick up the frontend exposition of Increment(https://increment.com/frontend/) as a starting point vs anything else.
