Claude Sonnet 3.5 is amazing for coding! I used to use the chat interface and copy-paste, but now I use aider.chat. Aider works in a git repo and forces Claude to only make the changes you requested. Changes are easy to revert.
A downside: Code is not always what I want. I try to make it do work in small chunks and this helps. Excels at writing boilerplate-y code that tends to be a little different on different websites.
Two helpful styles of prompts:
Using it for Python/Django/HTMX/AlpineJS. Django templates mixed with JS are no problem.

As long as you have a free Hugging Face account, you can sign up and exploit HuggingChat, a web-based chat interface where you will find 5 large language models to play with (Mixtral-7B-it v0.1 and v0.2, Command R plus, Gemma 1.1-7B-it, Dolphin). You will also have the possibility to exploit several assistants made by the Hugging Face community, or even create your own! - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Yes! it's proprietary, invasive, and harvests your data and use it for improving the AI, Ultman went to Israel weeks after Chatgpt was introduced, Israel like any other tech-giant-country needs to make sure that it has control over that data and/or use it to achieve its goals, so it's better to find offline FOSS alternatives (if you have a decent enough PC) or use HuggingChat as an online FOSS alternative, I find... I have categorized some of the smartphone brands by their parent company using HuggingChat based on RLHF, Google's Bard, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. All of them are powered by LLMs, and both ChatGPT and Perplexity use GPT-3.5. Source: over 1 year ago
For this challenge we will use Visual Studio Code and Anthropic Claude (Claude 3.7 Sonnet). Also, Go lang must be installed. I am running Fedora Linux. - Source: dev.to / 5 days ago
All I need to do now is to refactor the app from Tailwind to Linaria. Which is, thanks to my good smart friend Claude, is almost trivial these days, if you don't mind some occasional hiccups and botched dark mode. Which I'm totally fine with for the purpose of this exercise. Less than an hour of work, and the entire app is in Linaria instead of Tailwind. What a crazy world we live in! - Source: dev.to / 7 days ago
I have been using ChatGPT and Claude literally for the past 1.5 years. - Source: dev.to / 11 days ago
You can leverage AI models with strong research capabilities (like Perplexity, Claude 3 Opus, GPT-4, or Grok) to help you generate this best practices document. Provide the AI with context about your project and ask it to research and compile relevant standards. - Source: dev.to / 15 days ago
Claude, created by Anthropic, is my go-to AI coding tool. It’s effective in creating production-level code with debugging and conversational querying features. Though it requires precise prompting for the best results, it also has a low error rate, which makes it reliable for professional programming. - Source: dev.to / 17 days ago
