  I think a lot of people book hotels using credit card rewards. But another option is hoteltonight.com which is where many hotels sell their extra, unsold rooms. I believe you can book out several months in advance though, funny enough. Source: about 2 years ago

  If you can get to the Metro North station before the last train, do so. The metro north trains are fine. The worst problem you might have are some loud drunk people headed home after a night out.   If you have an android phone (and thus lots of Google location data) you can use this instead: https://locationhistoryvisualizer.com/heatmap/ It's open source and somewhat customizable but more importantly it's a heatmap so you can see where you've been AND the relative frequency of you going there.   Https://locationhistoryvisualizer.com/heatmap/ is one. But the problem is, unless you are actively tracking, it will be just location dots, not a full GPS track. Sometimes it just doen't pick up on locations either. Source: over 1 year ago
