I m that cynical boomer. I use mostly apps like Whatsapp, and garage door opener. Can't use banks apps as you can only login to one account. Everything I do is on the browser. https://hn.premii.com & https://reddit.premii.com - almost 10 years old, it still works. If you don't comment, https://hn.premii.com works pretty good without extension or anything. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
I personally use https://hn.premii.com for the topic on the left and the conversation on the right. Customizing the colors is also nice. The drawback is there doesn't appear to be a good way to participate in the conversation. How does everyone else ingest HN? - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
Here is a list of alternative UIs for HN: https://blog.luke.lol/tech/hacker-news-alternatives/ Two that display comments: https://hackerweb.app/ https://hn.premii.com/ I don't know how good they are with screenreaders. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
I really like how Premii[0] does it: minimal indentation, visual cues for thread depth, and ability to collapse current thread to any arbitrary level from any comment. The smooth scrolling is awful though. [0] https://hn.premii.com/#/comments/28385024. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

So I understand a PWA is just a website but isn't the whole point to have a dedicated window/card for it? - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
Https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Progressive_web_apps/Guides/Making_PWAs_installable#browser_support I tested just now in Firefox with an app from https://appsco.pe and it does indeed work! I can do the same with the Android version of Brave. > If you install Firefox it uses Gecko but still has native app look feel? That depends on your definition. Not really, since there can be many indexes like this. There's already https://appsco.pe for example. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
I think that it really depends on what the PWA is trying to do and its purpose. I think the Twitter, Instagram, and Starbucks apps are both good examples of what can be done. Potentially a lot more could be done with PWAs, if there was more push to make them better. https://appsco.pe/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Go to the Appscope website ( http://appsco.pe/) on the KaiOS phone and you will find a list of Progressive Web Apps. Some work better than others. Pin the app to the Apps Menu. I can't get the Instagram working tonight. Might be that my 8110 4G is too old. I should imagine it might work on a newer device especially a KaiOS 3.1 phone. Source: over 1 year ago
