Hi there, I'm an engineer at highlight.io . Definitely let us know if there are any things we can help with on the product end! Regarding stored variables, it may be hard for a product to do this in a production environment because of the limitations of the language. We're commonly doing this with logging, using services such as Loggly or DataDog. We're using managed databases, be it on AWS, Heroku or database-vendor-specific solutions.
