We decided to create a social media platform that could be used to promote the sharing of ideas and the building of communities. We took inspiration from the platforms we use the most.
We love twitter for our news and daily conversation.
We also love reddit for it's many interesting discussions and vibrant communities.
We took the best of both worlds and make Hawker. A free speech social media platform where you can curate your thoughts in a twitter like feed and also launch your own community.
We took it a step further and added monetization tools so that you can charge memberships for specific access to parts of your community.
I like how it combines features from other social media platforms and even other features that are not built into other social media platforms
Recently I bumped into this social platform, created my community and never looked back. Hawker allows one to create a community with multiple channels and monetize if you need. This platform is quite new so you can get all the benefits joining at the beginning.
Ever since I started using Hawker to connect with my community, I've been having a blast! It's a lot like Reddit, where you can create communities based on your interests. Plus, you can make public and private channels just like on Slack. It's awesome because you can keep different discussions separate and focused on specific topics.
Hawker makes it super easy to create communities centered around things you love. Whether it's about technology, hobbies, or anything else you're passionate about, you can set up your own community in a snap. You can even customize it with a cool name, description, and logo, making it feel inviting.
What's really neat about Hawker is that you can create both public and private channels within your communities. Public channels are great for open discussions and collaboration, while private channels give you a safe and private space for sensitive or exclusive conversations. You have the freedom to choose how you want to interact with others. You can also monetize your private channels by charging members a one-time or a monthly access fee.
While Asana is a robust task management and project planning tool, in my experience, it falls slightly short when compared to Trello, particularly in terms of user-friendliness and simplicity. Asana offers a variety of features such as multiple project views (list, board, timeline, calendar), custom fields, and reporting tools, which can be highly beneficial for complex project management. However, I found that the learning curve can be steep, especially for team members not familiar with this type of software. The interface, while feature-rich, can feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming for new users. On the other hand, Trello shines in its simplicity and straightforward design. The visual card and board system is intuitive and easy to grasp, making it a more accessible tool for team members of varying tech proficiency levels. In terms of collaboration, both tools provide good collaborative features like commenting, tagging, and task assignment. However, I appreciate Trello's flexibility with its Power-Ups, allowing integration with a wide array of apps which enhances its functionality. In conclusion, while Asana is a powerful tool with extensive features, I prefer Trello for its ease of use, simplicity, and intuitive design. However, I do see the value of Asana for larger teams or more complex projects.
