Install Haste. I recently moved, and my new wifi was pretty inconsistent. I remembered seeing some ads for this application called haste awhile back and decided to check it out. It is basically designed to optimize the route that your connection takes to certain servers, including League's servers. Still get afew lag spikes, but it is far less common than when I originally moved. https://haste.net/. Source: almost 3 years ago
Greenland is definitely closer geographically to NA but the routing options and bandwidth aren't great between it and the rest of NA. On the other side though, Iceland looks to be quite well connected to mainland EU and then has a single cable to Greenland from there. Obviously a lot testing would need to occur and the use of network routing prioritization/stabilizations tools like https://www.getoutfox.com/ and... Source: almost 3 years ago
Haste helps me and a couple of my friends with ping issues but its not guaranteed to work for everyone. You could give it a try. Source: almost 3 years ago
Things like haste.net, kill ping, and wtfast, are just vpn's configured to prioritize ping. Source: almost 3 years ago
Unforutnately you have no control of what happens along the route between you and the server. The only two things you have control of is opening your ports on your router and it sounds kinda cheesy, but I live in Utah and I have experienced amazing results using Haste. Source: about 3 years ago
Hey HN, at Ahrefs we have been working on an online book that hopefully helps React developers get up and running with Melange, an OCaml to JavaScript compiler. There are still a few chapters that we'd like to add before considering it "complete", but it might be already helpful for some folks out there, that's why we decided to publish it early. The book... - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
ReScript is "Fast, Simple, Fully Typed JavaScript from the Future". What that means is that ReScript has a lightning fast compiler, an easy to learn JS like syntax, strong static types, with amazing features like pattern matching and variant types. Until 2020 it was called "BuckleScript" and is closely related to ReasonML. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

This tracks with how I've seen "normal" languages converge on similar, flawed imitations of better type systems through tools and repurposed syntax. Thank you for confirming. Do you have any recommendations or warnings regarding general languages which reach in the opposite direction? Reason[1] and F#[2] are both examples: they attach pre-existing ecosystems and compile-for-$PLATFORM tools to OCaml-like typing.... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Why not use https://reasonml.github.io/ instead? Or just use Typescript? Source: 12 months ago
