  • Triangular loops: How triangles got me coding again
Thank you all for reading, and I am eager to get back into the tech space. I’m 15, and although I may be considered young to join, I've been around for some time, quietly observing and learning a few things along the way. My writing still needs to be improved, and so do my coding skills, and I’m happy to grow with such a great community that is Hashnode, and the programming community in general. - Source: dev.to / 11 days ago
  • How to Build in Public as a Tech Professional
Remember how I suggested that you define your purpose in the previous step? Well, it makes it easier for you to choose the platform that will help achieve this goal. I decided to document my journey via blogging because I love writing. With this in mind, I wanted to use platforms with an easy setup and customization, so I chose Hashnode and Dev.to. If you prefer being on camera or audio, consider using platforms... - Source: dev.to / 13 days ago
  • Deep Learning in JavaScript
Wow! Thank you for doing this. It looks like a great starting point for anyone approaching deep learning from the JS ecosystem. It is very plainly written and looks like it will be a joy to learn from. Thank you for adding JSDoc comments with type hints! Are you open to pull requests? If I have the time I'd love to contribute. I'm sure others would as well. You should write up a short article on this, even... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
  • I Published This with Drag and Drop using Vrite
For many developers, blogging and technical writing play a key role in building their portfolio, sharing their projects, and for some — even in their day-to-day work. That’s why developer-centric platforms like DEV and Hashnode, and even more general ones, like Medium, are full of interesting technical content. The only problem with technical writing is in the actual writing and publishing process. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago

💡 When building the projects for your portfolio, consider providing demo login details (if applicable) to accommodate users who may be hesitant to share their information on unfamiliar websites. Additionally, include GitHub repository links for your projects, ensuring that both the repository and live links open in new pages, not directly on your portfolio website. • Advice please!!!
I would say try it - it may help with the anorexia too. Decreasing your anxiety could help you address the root issue. I've heard that OCD and anorexia are related as they are both compulsive disorders. I would definitely get into therapy/counseling for these issues. I'm using NOCD (treatmyocd.com) as my therapy as its covered by insurance in the USA. It's been phenomenal!! Meds are helping me to address my... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Terrified I have an rabies incubating in me after feral kitten exposure THREE YEARS AGO..How do i get this out of my head?
I’m sorry, I also developed OCD at 12 and went years without treatment so I know how tough it can be. Do you think you could try a self-guided ERP and/or CBT exercise? I have a CBT worksheet that might be of some help if you need it. Some other helpful websites are OCD-UK and NOCD. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Have any of you used online programs to manage/recover from OCD? How was your experience?
I know when you're in a bad place you can grasp at straws but (assuming you're in the US) you're better going somewhere like treatmyocd.com (NOCD) which might be covered by your insurance or trying to find a therapist through IOCDF https://iocdf.org/find-help/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • eye blinking tic
I'm seeing an ERP therapist through NOCD. She has been super helpful and if you can afford it, I definitely recommend it. After insurance, mine comes out to $50/session, but that can obviously vary. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I need some help/tips
Please please please seek out a therapist who is an OCD specialist or one who is well-practiced in Exposure Response Therapy. More likely than not, talk therapy is going to lead to you compulsing/ruminating, which will make things worse. If you are on Instagram, I strongly recommend following ObsessivelyEverAfter and YourAnxietyToolkit. They are therapists doing the work and OCD specialists and I've gotten some of...
