For programming ,apart from tutorials the thing that helps best is practice , If you want to practice then I recommend hackerrank.com to test your understanding of programming concepts.   If you are new to mining just use windows its easier. Install a miner, which is a program to let use your gpu to mine. The better ones are trex (https://trex-miner.com/) for nvidia cards and teamredminer (https://github.com/todxx/teamredminer/releases) for amd cards. Source: over 2 years ago
