Would you be willing to click the link in my parent comment (which links to code on glot.io, a trusted open source online evaluator), then click the Run button to generate output and confirm the parsing and then flattening shown in the output is the sort of thing you were talking about? I use the Contexts [1] app, couldn't live without it (not affiliated...) It shows me all open Windows and in which Desktop, in its Sidebar (I've disabled the macOS dock.)
