14 Best Strava Alternatives and Similar Apps
Garmin Connect mobile app is designed for people who are experienced with cycling. It gives you a trainer-approved training package that you can plan weekly, monthly, and yearly. But, it doesn’t mean that Garmin Connect doesn’t have a social networking system. You can share your stats, but it mainly compares your results with others on a leaderboard.
8 Great Activity Apps That Are Not Strava
If you’re not so much on board with Strava turning increasingly more into a new kind of social network, you might try the Garmin Connect. Garmin are seasoned veterans of the sports world and it shows. Besides the regular data collecting and activity tracking functions, the app lets you schedule an all-week or all-month (hell, even an all-year) exercise plan or offers you one...

Tredict Reviews

  1. Performance-focused analytics

Tredict is the most capable, comprehensive tool I've found for analysing fitness and training. It's kind of like a business intelligence package for your legs (although unlike the average BI package it's pretty intuitive to set up_. You do an activity (or plan an activity) and see how it affects your fitness curve. It's designed for athletes who are working with a training plan or a coach, and it really delivers. I used it to prepare for a 200 mile ride this summer, and it helped me take two hours off last year's time - I'm sold.

    👍 Pros:    Privacy|Privacy concisous|Intuitive user interface
  2. New on the market

Tredict seems to be new on the market and I am deeply impressed how progressive and stable it is. They are saying datacenter is in Germany, which is very important for me. I just uploaded 6 years of my training history into Tredict and I am just blown away about the detail of statistics of my runs and rides I've never seen before. Next I will try the planning mode, which seems straight forward.

    👍 Pros:    High performance|Privacy
  3. Personal support

Trained for an ultra with Tredict. Had an perfect overview about what I did and what I want to do. Extremely detailed insights into my runs in combination with my Forerunner. Love the map with intensities. Very responsive.

Correct. You can load a GPX file, create a "Course" on Garmin Connect mobile app or on connect.garmin.com, or you can use Komoot, which is very popular too. If you use Komoot, make sure to use "Navigate with Garmin", not "Navigate with Komoot" when starting the activity. Source: 10 months ago
