• Recommendations for simple PCB design

  Fritzing - Opensource, a simpler tool but still fully capable. Though last time (many years ago) I tried to use it, despite quite liking it I found it to be very unstable to the point I could not use it without it crashing many times. Maybe that was just my system or maybe things have improved since then though. Might be worth a try. I quite liked it when it was not crashing. Source: about 1 year ago

  There could be a firewall on your company network that is blocking the installer from reaching the servers. You should be able to bypass the step and download and install anyways, but I would check with your IT department and see if you can get the solidworks.com domain whitelisted. • Hey guys, help needed! I'm moving to a new computer, I know how to transfer the license over through the home screen, but how do I get an install file for SW to download on the new computer? When i try to use the portal I get the attached response (even though I have an active product)

  You need a full mediakit of 2018SP03 from your VAR. You cannot download from solidworks.com when the subs is expired. Source: over 2 years ago
