Btw if you're interested in this stuff check out freightos.com - I thought it was a cool idea (and apparently fairly novel in that industry). It's like a travel booking website but for freight. It can be fun to play around with the settings and see how much it would cost to ship stuff all over. Just run a search on freightos.com and compare. If your shipment is FOB, you shouldn't be paying a local fee at origin. I'm not sure if they LA local fee is drayage? The base ocean rate looks OK. Source: over 2 years ago

Should you want a discounted rate, and your shipping volumes justify it, stamps.com will get you a few percentage points off of retail and allow for a few extra ounces (3) on first class packages. Other sites can work for getting exact shipping costs and often include comparison to other carriers. It depends on the volume but you could find an Order Management System (OMS) for your selling channels. This software would allow you to sync your orders into the software and stream line the pick pack process. Options like shipstation.com etc. This is better for lower volumes.
