I'd suggest not doing any searches, and just using the default documentation. The handbook is what drew me to FreeBSD nearly two decades ago. Not random documentation from different users trying to accomplish the same thing in multiple ways often with little regard to security or functionality. Also, if your sister has an Intel Mac instead of an M1 Mac, I highly suggest VirtualBox and setting up something like Windows XP on that instead of Windows 11-- the steps will be pretty similar, and VirtualBox is free. Source: 5 months ago
