Many (most?) of them have been overhauled with success. For find there is fd[1]. There's batcat, exa (ls), ripgrep, fzf, atuin (history), delta (diff) and many more. Most are both backwards compatible and fresh and friendly. Your hardwon muscle memory still of good use. But there's sane flags and defaults too. So my first instinct is to setup some sorta feature-flag thing within a CMS so managers can flip the boolean, I'm exploring getunleash.io and GrowthBook.io and we already use Contentful.com within the app but they're saying they "really don't think we need to use any third party thing for a killswitch"...
