This is good advice, but I prefer something that automatically dims and reduces blue light for me. There's an odd little retro dungeon crawler called Paper Sorcerer that might work for you. It's always high contrast, but I think some areas are light mode instead of dark mode so you might need something that can invert the colors at points (I'm not sure if something like NegativeScreen would work in games).
