  *small caveat, as much as I love Anubis I'm not super aware of characterization in the original mythology, however, after a quick trip to britannica.com it seems he was more similar to hades as the soul-governor, though apparently he was anciently associated with hermes, no idea why, but he did invent embalming, so enjoy this information.   Actually found this question really interesting. So I went to britannica.com for answers. And it seem that slaver inst part of any ideology. Its been used by everybody. From ancient Athens, to Imperial China, from Nazis in Germany to communist in Soviet Union. So I guess it was just a way of life, which most of us only recently found out is incredibly wrong.   Khanacademy.org is a fantastic resource for math, as well as many other courses. If you have access to the internet, try taking some of the courses there. They mirror what is taught in public schools with classes for all grade levels. There are other resources like edx.org that can provide free courses in topics like computer science and business.   The "best" professors/teachers I saw yet, where radiating an exhuberant joy while talking about their topic. It is fun to listen. They where a russian teaching in america who recorded a series about physics for TTC, The Teaching Company. He got voted best professor in america twice.The other one was David Malan of Harvards CS50 on [0]. Beware though, it sadly spoils you for later lectures by others.
