  • Ffs the mans whole motif IS DEATH,but no pharah needs 2 bp skins in a row
*small caveat, as much as I love Anubis I'm not super aware of characterization in the original mythology, however, after a quick trip to britannica.com it seems he was more similar to hades as the soul-governor, though apparently he was anciently associated with hermes, no idea why, but he did invent embalming, so enjoy this information. • Know the faces of Fascism
Actually found this question really interesting. So I went to britannica.com for answers. And it seem that slaver inst part of any ideology. Its been used by everybody. From ancient Athens, to Imperial China, from Nazis in Germany to communist in Soviet Union. So I guess it was just a way of life, which most of us only recently found out is incredibly wrong. • How to find "scholarly" articles online that don't have to be paid for? (Medieval British Isles)
My daughter (who is on the autism spectrum but mainstreamed) has to find a scholarly article online that "address[es] the process of ascension in medieval British Isles."   (This is for the unit on Macbeth, but I don't think the article is supposed to be about Macbeth specifically). It can't be wikipedia or a "generic encyclopedia site." (Which I assume includes things like britannica.com, though perhaps I... Source: over 1 year ago
  • 😬😬
You can play the semantics games all you want. The fact is, the Indian authorities in Bengal took their orders directly from shareholders (that's britannica.com, good enough?). That's just one example. Maybe the EIC didn't "own" that government on a paper somewhere, but that is obviously de facto ownership of a country. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Argument for a younger universe
10,568 + 1989 = 12,557 years in total. This conclusion alone didn't convince me until I heard about supernova remnants. Supernova remnants occur at least 50 years, and according to britannica.com, “There are 270 known supernova remnants, almost all observed by their strong radio emission, which can penetrate the obscuring dust in the galaxy.” 50 years times 270 occurrences equals 13,500 years total, which... • Very cool!!!
" The founding of the library[library of Alexandria] and the Mouseion is unquestionably connected with the name of Demetrius of Phaleron, a member of the Peripatetic school and a former Athenian politician. After his fall from power in Athens, Demetrius sought refuge at the court of King Ptolemy I Soter (c. 297 bce) and became the king’s adviser. Ptolemy soon took advantage of Demetrius’s wide and versatile... Source: over 2 years ago

This is known as bead lightning. Sciencedirect.com describes it as " the selective cooling of some channel sections due to their movement in ambient air relative to other channel sections."
