I also discovered the app AirFlow Airflow , like a better version of Chromecast, I stream it directly from my Mac to my TV, works flawlessly no buffering, so I can't understand why Plex is acting this way and don't have a solution. Source: 10 months ago

I use torrents heavily despite subscribing to 4 different streaming services because I live in Canada and we don't yet have Hulu or HBO Max.
