Olive is a new kid on the block, and its creators surely have ambitions. The video editor that was officially released not so long ago has the intention to become a free alternative to professional-level software. Although the tool is still in the Alpha version – meaning that some features may be missing, and the performance may be unstable – Olive video editor looks...

  • What is a good 3D modeling software for beginners(FREE)?
Dust3D https://dust3d.org/ Can be used to make quite complex models. In my opinion the user interface is more beginner friendly than blender. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Software Like Character Creator?
For non-humanoid stuff Dust3D is decent for getting a base model to do refinement for in other tools. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What is the gist of 3D models and using them in game dev?
For low poly there are some software. https://dust3d.org/ Is one I like to keep an eye on. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Links to alternatives to Blender for 3D modeling and/or rigging & animation, from beginner-friendly to full-featured
Dust3D offers an experimental node-based method of 3D sculpting intended to make modeling more accessible. Not high-quality sculpting, but the results have a style that may work for some projects. Source: about 2 years ago

  • hey guys since we're starving for Content I made this hope you enjoy
Other free tools I have tried in the past include Kdenlive and Shotcut. Tried Lightworks way back, too, but their free version is now not much better than Filmora. Got one eye on Olive, too, but it's very much still in beta. Source: 11 months ago
  • Is there anything that proprietary software can do and has no open alternative?
Also, keep an eye on https://olivevideoeditor.org/ for video editing. It is still in Beta, but looks very promising. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Help (filmora is shitty)
My video editor of choice is Kdenlive. It's modeled after Adobe Premiere (more or less), and has a bit of a learning curve. Olive is another promising option, but similarly tricky to master. Openshot is a pretty easy editor that works similarly. All of them are free and open source. Davinci Resolve is a professional-grade editor, and free, but not open source. Source: over 1 year ago
  • open source video editor that has frame blending when exporting like Adobe Premiere and Vegas pro?
You could try olive 0.2 . I do not know if it does exactly what you want. Source: over 1 year ago
  • looking for a free video editing software for simple tasks like crop, cut, trim, convert and merge. any recommendations ?
I've used Olive in the past. Looking at their site it seems they're in the middle of a rewrite. Not sure how far along their feature set is. Source: almost 2 years ago
