Another option is to download an app onto your iPhone that allows for file transfers using iTunes, like Documents by Readdle. Android file managers are basically very similar to how they work on Windows and Linux, the way you expect. But, Apple/iOS does have file management. There's an app called Files and it's... mediocre.
