I purchased the DiA DM bundle on DMSguild (https://www.dmsguild.com/product/295015) which includes great advice on how to run the campaign as well as maps to use. I also use a free app called DM Helper (https://dm-helper.itch.io/dm-helper) to display maps, organize the campaign, and track HP & initiative during combat. Source: over 2 years ago
What I am also not sure about is https://dm-helper.itch.io/dm-helper ... Not because it isn't useful, it's because I am not sure about how to get stuff in there. Maybe you will need an mapmaking tool (like Dungeondraft or something free) to recreate all the maps - but there are many people that already did just that. Source: almost 3 years ago
We will communicate and roll the dice through Discord, but I will need you to make your character sheet on either DnD Beyond,DiceCloud v1 or DiceCloud v2, since we will use Avrae for rolls to make it easier. It's got a learning curve because it's super customizable even for other non DND rpgs, but it does DND the best in my experience, but I love v1.dicecloud.com. Source: over 1 year ago
I had a play alarmedley message me to say her character had disappeared. No worries, turns out the main site link now leads to V2, not V1, which has it's own link at https://v1.dicecloud.com/ - but it does have me worried that my party's character's are jeopardised long-term, especially as we have no desire to transfer to the new version.
