In the past I used to use an online app called DIARIOAPP (before they went to more of a subscription model); I also used Microsoft Word before that. More recently I've been trying out Microsoft One Note Journaling with One Note. I have an iPad, an Android cell phone, and a Windows computer--so I prefer a tool that is muli-platform. Another thing to consider is Day One has gone to a $35/year subscription model for many of the features. You may find the free version sufficient, but if not and the price is too high for you, take a look at Diarly. Their price is about $24/year if I recall. It's not as full featured, but they are always adding things and very active in the r/DiarlyApp subreddit. You really can't go wrong with either app though. Source: about 1 year ago
