Desktop.com Reviews

  1. A daily "always on" tool for our entirely virtual team

Desktop.com has proved to be a worthy alternative to Slack, and with more benefits to our entirely virtual small team scattered around the world. In particular, it's very easy to chat and conduct video calls and screen shares. We utilize the SSO to access all of our web apps and links that we have created among various internal desktops. As with any SaaS tool, there can be features or tweaks that I would like to see, and to that end the support is fantastic.

👍 Pros:    Works as advertised|Quick and easy|Great support
  2. Great for my business

Found it easy to use. Our business is small, and no staff sits in an office. We have configures a couple of apps for Single sign on, and will try to configure a few more. Still working our way through the features, but looks promising for our use case.

    🏁 Competitors: Slack, Microsoft Teams
👍 Pros:    No download|Easy to use|Can invite external slack users|Hd video conference
👎 Cons:    No notification on iphone yet
  3. A flexible remote HQ

Desktop.com allows me to organize my apps, links and docs online in a very simple way. It also allows me to share the right assets with my coworkers without hassle. I don’t know how I got by before I started using it. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to organize their digital workplace.

    👍 Pros:    Intuitive|Cheap price|Super simple

5 Best All-in-One Messenger App for Windows and macOS
I would recommend Rambox if you are looking for a free all-in-one app that can handle both messaging and productivity apps with ease. If data, privacy, and security are on your mind, Station or Ferdi are open-source and work well. If you have money to shell, Rambox’s one-time license is worth looking at but only for advanced users. IM+ is good if you want messaging apps on...

Best Applications to Unify Online Services in One Place
These three are not the only applications of this type that exist, just looking a little there are other options such as Manageyum or Rambox , but with the first you find everything you need and they work really well. So, if you were looking for something of this type and did not know where to start, we hope it has been useful.

  • Which virtual phone number platforms allow phone numbers to be accessed from the desktop web browser?
Yes, but it's trivial to have multiple Google accounts setup in something like RamBox. I have multiple Google Voice accounts and numbers all using the same base mobile phone number. Source: about 1 year ago

  • [Summary] Best alternatives now that Ferdi is gone r/getferdi
Rambox - Basic free account supports unlimited services, $5/month to unlock features (e.g. spellchecker, customizable workspaces), $144 for lifetime license. Performance on my computer was awful. Also, the app itself doesn't look or feel as polished as their website, imo. Source: over 1 year ago
  • SELF-MADE DASHBOARD! What do you think about it?
Try rambox (https://rambox.app/). It's exactly what you want and more. It's free version is sufficient for your needs. Source: over 1 year ago
  • [GUIDE] Creating native applications for web-apps on Linux
Rambox (Website): It's a freemium app which lets you pin multiple websites to a sidebar. Clean GUI. But I don't see any advantages compared to the free alternatives. Source: over 1 year ago
