I am using the free version of https://db-ip.com, seems pretty good. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
You can check the IP address on testing websites like IP2location, DB-IP, IPinfo, etc. It should be noted that occasionally these websites display different locations for the same IP address. Typically, this is due to the fact that the IP address itself is disputed, which causes various analyses by IP libraries. You will need to contact the proxy provider in this case to obtain a different, higher-quality proxy. Source: about 1 year ago

If I was to move my UK failover IP address currently in use on a VM on a UK baremetal server to a different bare metal server in Germany and move the VM there. Would it get re-classified as a german IP address or would it remain a UK IP address, in terms of how services geolocate an IP such as https://db-ip.com/ ipinfo.io etc, would they know ? Source: over 1 year ago
There I used the tool wireshark to parse the captured traffic. I have been using https://db-ip.com to geolocate IP addresses that are obviously generating Ethereum traffic. Source: over 1 year ago
It's a server management service, they use AWS (or your host of choice) under the hood. I personally use something similar called Runcloud which I haven't had any problems with. It's a halfway house between a managed platform and your own VPS. Means you don't have to worry about security, vhosts, ssl certificates, restricting access etc... With real person support if you need it, and a tidy interface to monitor... Source: over 1 year ago

So after a good number of years on runcloud.io, (basic and Pro plans yes, I run multiple accounts) I am looking to see if there are alternatives to it, that may offer more features/same pricing or better pricing. Source: almost 2 years ago
For PHP https://platform.sh has got a lot of traction, but it's notc cheap especially for small apps. If you hadn't wanted the Docker-based backing I would suggest trying one of the services that automates setting up your VMs at AWS, DigitalOcean, Linode etc like https://forge.laravel.com/, https://runcloud.io/, https://serverpilot.io/, https://www.cloudways.com/ etc. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
