So I added the pdf for the player rulebook, monster manual, and command cheatsheet for the avrae discord bot found on dndbeyond.com as a tool to help run games through discord. Basically my idea was to create a DM or DM tool that could generate a story for you to play or generate the materials you would than use as a DM. Source: 5 months ago
Read? Most anything having to do with the class and race/species you want to play in addition to some of the basic rules. dndbeyond.com/how-to-play-dnd can potentially be a great resource so long as you are playing the 5th Edition of the game. It WILL seem like a daunting amount of information, but it is manageable if you limit what you learn to the necessities and learn the rest as you play. If you click on that... Source: 10 months ago

I use https://reroll.co, since it has pixel art I can assign to items and deck my character out to look like a badass with what I've looted. Takes some work to import all the non SRD stuff but it works great! Plus it's only a cheap single purchase that gets cheaper per code for each copy you get at once. Makes getting enough for a table great. Source: about 1 year ago
I just by chance found https://reroll.co/. Source: over 1 year ago
