  • How to Build in Public as a Tech Professional
If you’re like me, a person who is building in public to gain opportunities, cultivating a community, as my colleague Candice Zakariyah says, “attracts and retains the attention of your target audience”. As far as platforms to choose, think back to the reason you decided to build in public. I wanted to use a platform where people in tech can easily post their projects and content, so I decided to use daily.dev. ... - Source: dev.to / 24 days ago
  • The Myth of 'Just Press Record' in Podcasting
Every morning, without fail, the journey begins with a hunt for content. I check trending GitHub repositories to stay updated with the latest in tech. Websites like GitHub Trending, Dev.to, Daily.dev, Hacker News and of course web development podcasts are what I use to scour for top articles on JavaScript and TypeScript. This isn't casual browsing; it's a deliberate search for engaging topics that could spark a... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago

  • Mimic Touch Bar screenshot functionality on non-touch bar M1 MacBook Pro
If you want a fake (yet fully functional) touchbar on your screen, you could use something like: https://github.com/sindresorhus/touch-bar-simulator (I used that for a while on my 2017 mbp). Source: 11 months ago
  • Picture-in-picture for all videos that works on Safari 15 / Monterey?
Baking soda or Fulifier would on most sites but not iPlayer apparently. However (without any need for an extension) I can use PIP on any compatible website via the button on my touchbar. Perhaps until you find an extension, use touch-bar-simulator? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Why does my new M1 Pro MacBook think it has a touch bar?
Did you try a restart? It’s bizarre that’s it’s using so much virtual memory too. Only thing I could think of it virtual Touch Bar simulator, but I think you would probably know if you were using that lol. Is it possible there’s an app doing something similar? Also, side note, what do you use to rearrange your menu bar? It looks great. Source: over 2 years ago
