Curiosity is a desktop productivity app for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Finding information can be time-consuming and frustrating: There are just too many files and messages in too many places.
Curiosity gives you one place to search across all your folders and cloud apps like Gmail and Slack. It also searches deep inside files, messages, and attachments. That puts all your information at your fingertips so you can focus and get more done.
Curiosity also works as a launcher so you can open programs, join your next meeting, do math, and more. That means all your work is just a shortcut away.
Curiosity includes industry-grade security features and always keeps your data safe and private on your computer.
Curiosity is good, and constantly updated

> I'm in search of a local LLM that can run completely offline for processing personal documents. Key requirements include privacy (no data leaves my machine) and performance (efficient with large datasets). Any recommendations for open-source / commercial solutions that fit the bill in 2024? Also, what's the current state of local LLMs—are: Are they practical and useful, or still facing significant limitations?... - Source: Hacker News / 20 days ago

Hi there, I'm one of the founders from Curiosity, a desktop search app that let you privately search all your data. We're just finishing adding Evernote as a supported integration to the app, and looking for Evernote users to give it a try and let us know if anything is missing or misbehaving! If anyone is interested, feel free to post below or DM me and I'll send you a link to the pre-release version! Source: over 1 year ago
What surprised me is that on the Azure store, the only option I see is (Pay as you go), whereas on elastic.co there are the standard platinum and enterprise tiers followed by a where to deploy page and a pricing overview. Source: 10 months ago
Can anyone help me how to upload custom hunspell stemmer files to elastic cloud (elastic.co)? According to elastic docs it should go under elasticsearch/config/hunspell, but according to cloud docs I should upload it via features/extension tab. So I tried zipping the hunspell folder and uploading it. I also figured out that it should be in the dictionaries folder, but after uploading it still doesn't work. Source: 11 months ago
I can't figure out where I have to go to get more or less of a custom, premium website. I should mention that I look up to websites like elastic.co for example, would be very happy with something like that. I could really use some guidance! Source: about 1 year ago
