Before putting anything on a cloud service I would recommend 3rd party tools, like Cryptomator, to encrypt folders and such, then upload to a cloud service. Source: 5 months ago
I've used countless encryption "schemes" over the years, from True/Vera-Crypt to encrypted sparse bundles/images, and none have ever really felt right. These days I tend to use Cryptomator[0] instead. It accomplishes what none of the others could do, which is transparent encryption across devices. Backblaze is great because it's a set price, unlimited, and I don't have to think twice about it. I use Arq to backup my machine + external drives (several drives with lots of photos) to my local NAS. Was sending data to Wasabi, but the costs got out of control. I can purchase a year's worth of Backblaze + the 1 year revision upgrade for much, much less of what I was paying at Wasabi. Source: 12 months ago

No, use AWS S3 or https://wasabi.com/ if you are worried about cost. Source: 12 months ago
