On a budget, I a would maybe recommend a 3 rtx 3060ti gpu rig to start. That is the first rig I have every built. Some great sources to use is youtube guides on building a rtx 3060 ti rig and cryptocompare.com's hash rate calculator. Basically if you were to use hiveos and mine Eth, you would need around 183MH/s. The rig before Gpu's I built came to about $1,200. I paid about $2,500 to $3,000 on two LHR cards and... Exodus can produce a API file that you can download into cryptotrader.tax. That's what I do and it reports every trade and staking rewards. I have been doing this for 2 consecutive years and it works great! Source: almost 2 years ago
Did you try cryptotrader.tax. They recently changed their name to Coin Ledger. I was able to pull the cvs that I needed from Nexo and just load them in. In fact you can load all the exchanges and this software will figure it out the cost basis for you. I would not attempt to do it manually. Source: about 2 years ago

Oh also found out about cryptotrader.tax it's been a lifesaver. What I was using before made it seems like I made some insane amount in crypto when there was no way I did. This got everything looking right and did all the math for me. Bit pricy ($100 to get the final info) but well worth the math help using it. So one more tool to get correct info I need to file :).
