I need to install an older version of an extension (the new one is unstable). I got the crx file from an third-party site but I can't install it. Chrome gives me the following error: "apps, extensions, and user scripts cannot be added from this website".

How to disable auto update by extensions
The new version of "nas download manager" doesn't have the option where I can choose between the http ans https. Whatever, I downloaded the previous version from crx4chrome.com added to chrome and it worked, until the auto update. I changed the update_url in the plist file, but it doesn't helped, it still get the update. Source: over 2 years ago
