Cricket Wireless VS Visible

So, many people say that when you insert a Cricket SIM card to a BYOD phone Cricket may lock it for 6 months. Sounds like a BS to me, but everything is possible in our country when it comes to network operators. However, the instructions are just that I need to re-register, I don't *have* to click the link in the email to do it. I went to cricketwireless.com directly to complete the process and it did allow me to create a new login. $94 for a single line is not good given in this day and age. If you want to stick with Verizon and are fine not financing a phone, you should use Visible. I’ve got an odd problem - I can open the visible app and all is fine. But, if I log into visible.com from a web browser on Windows or a Mac (or iPad), after the username and password, I get the SMS text with the code, type it in… and get another text with a new code… then again on more time, then I can’t log in anymore as I get an error that the code has expired. That's fascinating because I LITERALLY moments ago just got off a chat conversation with a customer care rep at visible.com who told me the exact opposite. They said the "welcome discount" would allow me to switch back and forth between the Visible and Visible+ plans at the $25 and $35 rates even if the promotions change. Source: 11 months ago
