You can check Crater and Invoice Ninja. You can selfhost both. Source: almost 2 years ago
I've been trying to setup AUTHELIA but the 2FA tokens fail on send. I've tried using a new Gmail account for SMTP and even went as far as setting up a Mailgun account to get it to send. Absolutely refuses. I also self-host CRATER INVOICE which I just use internally for record keeping, and tried both the Gmail and Mailgun SMTP setups with it as well. Config tests fail outright every time. Source: over 2 years ago

I was using wave accounting https://www.waveapps.com/, but moved over to Crater App https://craterapp.com/ and self hosted on docker. Source: almost 3 years ago
If that’s not enough, I’ve had good experience with http://getharvest.com (and accompanying tools from them). Source: 12 months ago
Https://getharvest.com/ : time tracker for contract work. Source: 12 months ago
I use getharvest.com to track hourly and convert them to invoice. The only thing I don't like is that I have to add the task in the web dashboard rather than entering directly in the desktop app. There is 'note' field, but it won't show up in the invoice detail, so it is useless for me.
