First option is to get a better 4G LTE router. There are many. You should be able to find one with an Ethernet port, or even multiple Ethernet ports. Great ideas in this thread, so I do not know that much about 4G vs 5G, but I do know from the coverage maps that the area is 4G only and unlikely to get 5G anytime soon, too rural. Does that change the type of router? The suggested Linksys WGA600N Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter says "Dynamically changes channels and radio bands (2.4 or 5GHz) to find the fastest connection available" does that have... If you mean a Cisco 2950, I guess you want to learn Networking. So a good place to start is to run GNS3 (https://gns3.com). You can download a VM image and run that, that's what I do.
