I use Cozy Drive. It's open source. You can pick a folder in your pc, and it syncs it to the cloud. You can still open in offline. They have 5gb free version, which I use, because I need it only for documents and photos. Android app is good too, and you can automatically sync your photos. Source: over 2 years ago

However, it really depends on one needs and usage. For example, tags might be a more flexible way to organize the passwords than folders, I agree with that. Searching in Bitwarden is reasonably good, which makes folders or tags a lot less relevant. The limited number of item types is not limited for my use, as I rarely use Bitwarden for anything else than managing passwords. Autofill never bothered me, personally.... Source: over 2 years ago

If you want more of a web-based file sharing solution, you can try out more professionally made open source file sharing services like Syncthing, YouTransfer, or Cozy. There's a few good options right now like Nextcloud, ownCloud, Umbrel (if you like crypto), or Yunohost for a self hosted package manager basically, or even HomeLabOS that is the closest to a full stack solution imo. Source: over 1 year ago

IMO the closest thing to what OP wants to build is HomeLabOS where it's a 'fully fledged platform' with most of the features you'd expect to build yourself from scratch. It's still nowhere near a Linux Distro you can just download that has an Install Wizard to guide you through creating everything that a self hosted network needs & should have though.
