I use Cozy Drive. It's open source. You can pick a folder in your pc, and it syncs it to the cloud. You can still open in offline. They have 5gb free version, which I use, because I need it only for documents and photos. Android app is good too, and you can automatically sync your photos.

Rclone

I highly recommend Rclone. It allows you to mount your gdrives and much more (S3, blob storage, o G storage. You can do. A rclone config add the details for your drive then a rclone mount and you can browse your gdrive as if it were a folder.

FreeFileSync

On windows, I just use freefilesync. It links to my Gdrive and I can sync and use exclusions. Not tried it in Linux yet, but as there is a Linux version I'd assume it works fine.
