After messing with it for a year or so I ran into the founder of what is now called CompanyCam at a Startup Weekend event and agreed to work on what was then a ASP.NET app. I told him I would quit my job and come work full-time on the app if I could rewrite the MVP in Rails. I use getharvest.com to track hourly and convert them to invoice. The only thing I don't like is that I have to add the task in the web dashboard rather than entering directly in the desktop app. There is 'note' field, but it won't show up in the invoice detail, so it is useless for me.
