I added cloudflare-dns.com as a static entry and cleared cache. Cleared cache on my machine and pinged google.com. There were 2 DNS requests against both dynamic servers. I then pinged yahoo.com and 2 more DNS requests were created. I have not looked in Wireshark to see if the DNS requests are requests to the destination URL or if it's to cloudflare-dns.com. Because the IP address are part of the programming for our room control systems(Crestron mainly) if the address changes then we lose control of that piece of equipment. Can phpipam.net be run locally or does it need it's own server? I don't know how much our networking team will be willing to get involved. Source: about 1 year ago
