It's because they can't read. I did this recently, but you can download CE from https://cheatengine.org, turn on airplane mode, and install it if you're that worried about the greyware. I also recommend an adblocker like Adblock plus or a privacy browser like Brave to limit the amount they can learn about you when not in Private Mode. Add more gray man to your everyday web use.
