Not to take away from OP’s post, but there are several alternatives already. https://cerebroapp.com. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • A Look at Curiosity - A MacOS Spotlight search style app available for Linux
We have had awesome applications that do exactly this, while being fully FOSS, for some time. Albert and cerebro just to name a few. (I use Albert myself all the time and it is fantastic! And extensible!). Source: over 2 years ago
  • Arvis introduction
It's interesting how many of these alternatives are popping up around now. We too have made a cross platform, open source variant named LaunchMenu alternative which we released into Beta. It looks like you've gone for a similar approach as Cerebro with a plugin system based on a getPluginItems listener. Cerebro's general design is much more akin to LaunchBar than Alfred however. • Working on meaningless projects
Work on your own product ideas If you have the skills, work on your own products. Make it your mission to make just one pound (or one dollar) from an idea on the web (it can be an app, a newsletter, whatever). Keep it tiny, focus on a micro-problem and be realistic with yourself (don't set out to make the next Netflix right from the get-go). Working on my side project isoflow.io has been super rewarding. • How do I create this type of chart?
u/MedUsaXIII thanks for mentioning isoflow.io. I built it as a side project, and basically as a way to convey information in a more understandable way for non-techies (e.g. stakeholders, bosses etc). Check out the flows feature as well, you can build annotated walkthroughs with that if it's helpful. Source: over 2 years ago
  • How do I create this type of chart?
Isoflow (https://isoflow.io/) is the latest iteration that can be used without AWS. I do miss Cloudcraft before they got acquired by AWS. They have this amazing 2D/3D feature that isoflow does niet (yet) have. Source: over 2 years ago
