  • Does anyone kind of miss simpler webpages?
A couple of years back there was this movement called "Brutalist web design" you might be interested in. I can't say I like the style too much but I think there are technical merits to Brutalist web design, accessibility being one of them. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Can I get your opinions on this design?
I also don't really see the brutalism in this, it needs to be raw, louder, have more "attitude" and personality. Don't really know how to explain it, found a website that collect brutalist websites, it should give a better idea of what I'm after. A lot comes down to typography since brutalist design is very bare and raw. A more interesting font (or fonts) and more aggressive font sizes will help a lot for instance. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Hi I want to go for a look of raw Html for a design ?
I think the perfect style for you is brutalism. Check it out https://brutalistwebsites.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Can Anyone Identify this table set? $100 for all 4
Is it defined by concrete buildings? I think brutalism has a bit more going on than just concrete buildings when you look into it. You can even find brutalist web design floating around. Source: over 1 year ago
  • On my site i've got modal window which takes screen height (100vh) - header height(67px) so that it perfectly fills the screen. Browsers have this bottom bar that hides part of the screen. When user scrolls it should hide but if body is overflow hidden then it doesnt scroll and so bar doesnt go away
It’s got the brutalist aesthetic going on. Source: over 1 year ago

  • SD Webui New extension - Canvas Editor
Just I mentioned in the description, I am using PolotnoJS which needs its api key, people can generate free api key for non-commercial purposes(what I included now), but it also has paid license. In fact, I never try a paid license. You can refer PolotnoJs here https://polotno.com if you’re interested. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Side project of more that $2k monthly revenue what's your project?
I am building Polotno SDK (https://polotno.com/). It a mix of SaaS and paid javascript library and react components. It is a design editor that you can integrate into your web app. From the first paying customer it took around 1 year to get 2000 MRR. And I spent around 9 months on making first version before the first paying customer. It took me a very long time to find the idea of SDK. Previously I was thinking... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • The Journey of building Print-On-Demand Editor
3.the nice I tool I found was Poltono Poltono Means Canvas in Russian you can view its docs from here. Poltono is built with canvas it offers SDK and studio editor(like react-design-editor) but is easy to integrate and customize. So I moved from React-design-editor and Fabric JS to Konva JS and Poltono and I moved poltono to this you can see the video from hereand btw you can see poltono editor from here:... - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
  • Any examples of working activist, socialist, or community-organizing software?
You should/could: - help nextcloud in having a more stable sync function because often people lose edits - help developing https://penpot.app (figma alternative) or https://polotno.com (Canva alternative) because right now we have no ready alternatives - also helping element/matrix in being more discord like would be useful - another useful thing would be helping in making Jitsi less buggy. • How do I make Design Templates like Canva Templates that are unique but can be modified & exported as an image? Should I use Canvas or WebGL?
Hello. I am creator of the Design Editor SDK https://polotno.com/ and its sandbox application https://studio.polotno.com/. You will see that in terms of the functionality it is very similar to canva.com. The app is made with React, Konva, react-konva and blueprint (css framework). Source: almost 2 years ago
