A couple of years back there was this movement called "Brutalist web design" you might be interested in. I can't say I like the style too much but I think there are technical merits to Brutalist web design, accessibility being one of them. Source: about 1 year ago
I also don't really see the brutalism in this, it needs to be raw, louder, have more "attitude" and personality. Don't really know how to explain it, found a website that collect brutalist websites, it should give a better idea of what I'm after. A lot comes down to typography since brutalist design is very bare and raw. A more interesting font (or fonts) and more aggressive font sizes will help a lot for instance. Source: over 1 year ago
I think the perfect style for you is brutalism. Check it out https://brutalistwebsites.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
Is it defined by concrete buildings? I think brutalism has a bit more going on than just concrete buildings when you look into it. You can even find brutalist web design floating around. Source: over 1 year ago
It’s got the brutalist aesthetic going on. Source: over 1 year ago

I don't think that she'd have enough experience to do this but based off of the similar screenshot maybe she was going for a brutalist design? Source: over 1 year ago
When I think of brutalist design, I think of massive text, breaking the grid, etc. Like this stuff. Source: almost 2 years ago

I know that there are quite a few brutalist websites out there, but are there any websites which are designed in a way that makes fun of current website design trends? Source: almost 2 years ago
I suppose that's personal taste, which is absolutely fine. Personally, I feel that the design isn't particularly appealing either, but that's, like, my own opinion. If anything, it's not brutalist design: https://brutalistwebsites.com/ It's just that one can choose to see the design as distinct from the content. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Https://brutalistwebsites.com/ started in 2016; it has been a while. I would even say, that proper web brutalism is not a thing anymore. I think a much better definition for the style described in the article is "Corporate Memphis" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_Memphis - that is also a 10 years long trend. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
Beautiful, if this was purposefully done it would fit in at https://brutalistwebsites.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
I agree. Just look through some of the listed sites on brutalistwebsites.com[0] and you'll quickly realize most of these designs are NOT easy to pull off [0] https://brutalistwebsites.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

I absolutely love this style, web-brutalism is refreshing to me absolutely every time I see it (which is not nearly enough!) Have you ever checked out https://brutalistwebsites.com? Yours would fit right in! - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
This looks pretty in line with a lot of brutalist art principles that has become popular in art circles as of late. You can say that you don’t like it, but there are plenty of people who do. It is very intentional. There is even a whole website dedicated to web design like this. Source: over 2 years ago
And here's a collection of example websites. Source: over 2 years ago
Yes, it is an architectural term, but there is a distinct graphic style that emerged because of inspiration from brutalist buildings (albeit with a modern twist). Here’s a neat collection of the brutalist (GD) aesthetic: https://brutalistwebsites.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
