I also recommend an adblocker like Adblock plus or a privacy browser like Brave to limit the amount they can learn about you when not in Private Mode. Add more gray man to your everyday web use. I recently became aware of https://frontegg.com and, while I haven't evaluated it, it looks like they've designed it to solve these pain points. Looks like you can actually embed some of their pages directly in your UI so you don't have to build that yourself. (And just to be clear, I have no association with Frontegg).
