You also don't need to buy WordPress-specific themes. Most people don't know that Bootstrap has lots of professionally made websites that you can customize super easily. If I can add a suggestion to your pile, in my story, my current idea is to use a Wordpress theme called Bricks. It has a similar layout to Webflow, which I find interesting. They have perfect Lighthouse scores at the outset. The only reason my projects dipped below 95 on performance scores were because of heavy third-party scripts, but you may be able to dodge those.
