If I can add a suggestion to your pile, in my story, my current idea is to use a Wordpress theme called Bricks. It has a similar layout to Webflow, which I find interesting. They have perfect Lighthouse scores at the outset. The only reason my projects dipped below 95 on performance scores were because of heavy third-party scripts, but you may be able to dodge those. I just bought Bricks (https://bricksbuilder.io/), as its gotten a lot of good reviews from other O2 users, including Kevin Geary (the awesome guy who runs the DigitalAmbition site and created the Automatic.css plugin for Oxygen/Bricks). I made the jump to Bricks Builder https://bricksbuilder.io/ , while it has no feature parity with Oxygen yet, it’s close enough. Such a breath of fresh air :) It’s fast, it’s UX is good so I don’t need extra plugins to make it work, really recommend it! Did I say it was fast? Source: almost 3 years ago
