You also don't need to buy WordPress-specific themes. Most people don't know that Bootstrap has lots of professionally made websites that you can customize super easily. If you know Bootstrap, you can event recreate those templates yourself (do a cost analysis again for the employer: buying a theme vs. You recreating them and paying you salary). I use Actual budget. It’s open source, free, but you’ll have to figure out hosting. Bank sync is currently provided in North America by SimpleFin ($15/year) And in Europe by GoCardless I host mine in a Docker container on my NAS. If you have the ability to selfhost, Actual budget has been my go to for budgeting. I just input bank transactions usually weekly and assign the transaction to it's appropriate category. Source: 11 months ago
