Bitly Reviews

  1. Bitly Review - Amazing Experience.

Bitly is a URL shortening service and a link management platform. The company Bitly, Inc., was established in 2008. It is privately held and based in New York City. Bitly shortens 600 million links per month, for social networking, SMS, and email. Bitly makes money by charging for access to aggregate data created because of many people using the shortened URLs.

The Bitly URL shortening service became popular on Twitter after it became the default URL shortening service on the website on May 6, 2009. It was subsequently replaced by Twitter's own t.co service.

The company uses HTTP 301 redirects for its links. The shortcuts are intended to be permanent and cannot be changed once they are created. URLs that are shortened with the bitly service use the bit.ly domain or any other generic domain that the service offers.

  • My app data tell me Safari is the most popular browser
Others = 4.7% I am quite surprised that Safari has the largest share. Is this due to popularity of iphone and Mac? TBH, I expected Chrome to win this battle with Firefox coming close second. The data is from User agent, so there is a possibility of minor errors. Also, most of the data is from the US. [1] https://blanq.io. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

This doesn't prove nothing, even because blanq.io isn't the most used link shortening and not everybody (probably 0.0000000000001% of the world population) have ever used a link shortner before plus you did not put sources. Source: over 1 year ago

  • I'm going to build the damn thing myself.
I have been running my SAAS solo for more than 2 years now. I would recommend joining some indie hacking communities to stay motivated. It is very easy to lose focus when results don's show up. It usually takes a few months if not a year to see some traction. Write blogs and focus on SEO initially. Quality of posts >>> Quantity. Source: almost 2 years ago

Https://blanq.io/ - It's a platform to manage all your links. Basically, a marketing tool that allows you to shorten, track and customize your links. It's like Bitly(if you already know) but I have tried to make it better with 30 days of insights, traffic routing and a lot more.
