  • My app data tell me Safari is the most popular browser
Others = 4.7% I am quite surprised that Safari has the largest share. Is this due to popularity of iphone and Mac? TBH, I expected Chrome to win this battle with Firefox coming close second. The data is from User agent, so there is a possibility of minor errors. Also, most of the data is from the US. [1] - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Most popular browsers based on 1M clicks
This doesn't prove nothing, even because isn't the most used link shortening and not everybody (probably 0.0000000000001% of the world population) have ever used a link shortner before plus you did not put sources. Source: over 1 year ago

  • I'm going to build the damn thing myself.
I have been running my SAAS solo for more than 2 years now. I would recommend joining some indie hacking communities to stay motivated. It is very easy to lose focus when results don's show up. It usually takes a few months if not a year to see some traction. Write blogs and focus on SEO initially. Quality of posts >>> Quantity. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I have set a ridiculous new year goal of making $5000 per month with my website
Https:// - It's a platform to manage all your links. Basically, a marketing tool that allows you to shorten, track and customize your links. It's like Bitly(if you already know) but I have tried to make it better with 30 days of insights, traffic routing and a lot more. Great thing the platform supports custom domains so your short links look great and "branded". I would love to talk more about it if you... Source: over 2 years ago

  • Failed for the past 12 years as a tech entrepreneur. My key takeaways.
That's where it hit me, why not pivot to and a link management platform? I thought it's so easy to build and manage it. I could feel the tingling in my body. I built with the excitement of a toddler. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Failed for the past 12 years as an tech entrepreneur
OP here: Due to HN limit on the length of post, I had to cut down the details to about 4000 characters. I skipped tech used, a lot more details about the applications and the timeline. Now I am 36 year old and as stated in the post, I am giving yet another shot with with a hope of succeeding this time. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

  • Show HN: Fast and reliable url shortening API that generates beautiful graphs
Hi, I have been a solo-dev working on Blanq[1] for more than a year now. It is a powerful link shortening platform that supports custom domains, SSL and traffic routing. I released the API to simply link management for you. The plans are cost-effective and the service is extremely reliable(99.99% uptime). The backend is Java Spring based with Mysql as DB.
